Did it all on her own

On Friday, April 4, the psychological short film premiered at the iconic TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. “We stood there with a project that we made with so much love and dedication, and suddenly we were among filmmakers from all over the world,” says Charlotte.

She directed, wrote, produced, and edited the film entirely on her own. Along with cast members Brienne Mizell, Berthe Tanwo Njole, and Wytze Janssens, she traveled to Los Angeles to represent her project.

Her short film ‘Mind of Thoughts’ received praise from the audience.

The film was warmly received and got exceptionally positive reactions from the audience. “It’s still hard to grasp, especially in such an iconic venue where so many of my favorite filmmakers over the years have also had their premieres,” she says.

Also heading to New York and Reims

In a few days, Charlotte will return to LA, where the film will be screened at Regal LA Live as part of the Beyond Hollywood International Film Festival. After that, the film will travel to New York for an official selection, followed by a screening in Reims during the Red Movie Awards.

“I grew up in Knokke-Heist, and it remains incredible that from there, with perseverance and vision, you can create something that reaches the other side of the world,” she adds. (jve)
